Your Guide in This Journey

I am an embodiment coach and advocate, proudly part of the LGBTQIA+ community. My journey of transformation, both personal and professional, has shaped my approach to holistic healing. Certified in Integrated Somatic Trauma Therapy, Applied Polyvagal Theory in Yoga, and as a Y12SR Peer Support Guide, my practice is centered around the philosophy that true well-being is achieved through harmony between body and mind. I am committed to fostering this balance, guiding individuals to embrace their true selves and live authentically. It's my belief that by supporting each person to inhabit their body with awareness and compassion, we can collectively nurture a more empathetic and understanding world.

"Healing unfolds when we move beyond self-blame, acknowledging not just our brain but our nervous system's profound influence on our actions. It's about seeing our traumas within the broader tapestry of family, community, and society—realizing our responses are not failures but adaptations to complex contexts. Trauma-informed yoga invites us to gently unlock these pathways, weaving understanding and self-compassion into the fabric of our being, and empowering us to make choices from a place of awareness and connection."

What should I expect from each class?
Each session is a blend of physical movement, breathwork, and mindfulness practices designed to guide you gently towards healing and self-discovery. Expect a safe, inclusive environment where all experiences are valid and welcome.
Do I need to be an experienced yogi?
Not at all.  In the RaRe Self Workshop, we use mindful movements guided by your body. We’re not about fancy poses and perfect form. We’re about using the pose to get into the body, not the other way around.
What if I don't want to discuss my past traumas with strangers?
That’s understandable. There is no requirement to share personal details in this space. Know that everything introduced in The RaRe Self Workshops is invitational.

You do not have to do anything you do not feel comfortable doing.

While this workshop is more about an internal journey, you’ll be helping to hold space for everyone in your cohort of up to 10 other people.

I find that often these same individuals maintain a strong bond and return for future workshops together.
Is this workshop right for me?
If you're seeking healing, connection, and a deeper understanding of yourself, this workshop is for you. It's designed to be accessible to all, regardless of your experience with yoga or where you are on your healing journey.
